Identity verification

One natural person = one UID, established after KYC. Your national ID (IDN) is ciphered at rest via the PII Token Server — per-record DEK, KMS envelope-encrypted — and is never returned in API responses. After enrollment, your UID may be joined to multiple organizations.

Demo mode — Sumsub integration deferred to Q3 2026. Every response carries _mock: true.

What happens next

  1. 1KYC session created; IDN ciphered & stored in pii_vault.
  2. 2Provider (Sumsub in production) verifies documents asynchronously.
  3. 3Webhook updates uid_registry.identity_hash for IDN→UID dedup.
  4. 4Trust tier raised from NONE → L1_VERIFIED.
  5. 5You may now join enterprise orgs and earn NTCC contributions.
